Swalwell Mixed-Use Development

The proposed development / refurbishment is aimed to be in accord with and integrate with surroundings architectural context and Class Use. It is mainly aimed at adhering to the historic architectural style of the old pub building and creating a homogenous and enhanced look to the whole building as opposed to the existing dilapidated state of the building.

The proposal is also aimed at utilising the floor space to create luxury flats for families on upper floors and utilise the road side access to create successful retail on the ground floor.The design process has been aimed to respond to the need of complimenting the local character and type of housing and retail spaces required. With and improved active shop front on the ground floor, the design is aimed to subtly enhance the quality of retail presence in the prime location.
